ok thx i suppose your right no one really rides at max speed...around were i live you cant really...what do u find is a better over all machine Raptor, DS, Banshee???

Well that is kind of hard to answer. I have not owned a banshee since 1994. I loved it, and of course at the time it was really the only choice.

In my opinion the DS baja is the better overall bike. It is built much stronger and of course is heavier because of it. Everytime I ride the raptor, I come back begging to ride the baja.

Riding wheelies the raptor is much easier to do that on. The raptor is fun in different circumstances, but I still come back looking for the baja.

I guess I am lucky, every time I ride I get to ride both and have a blast doing it.

Stock..this is what I believe

1.Quadzilla 500...no question
2.Cannondale cannibal 440...no question
3.Raptor and DS same Page...have seen numerous different mags give the edge to either..so who knows.
4.Banshee....could also be 3rd...if hooking up is possible
5.Z400...a close 5th
6. Tecate...hmmm maybe it could beat a Z????
7. Quadracer...same here
8. 250r
9. Polaris also made a 250 2-stroke called the cyclone...dont know where it would fall...this is a good guess.
10. 400 ex

 

I do not think tat 400EX belongs on that list. Even a Kawa 650 4X4 can beat it.

 

I don't think a Z400 is faster then a Quadracer, At least not mine.
I spanked this guy yesterday on the track and in a drag race after, he was telling me and my riding buddies that his new Z was the second fastest quad made. LOL

 

Like Bat said, hard question to answer.

Fastest on a flat dry lakebed or a beach is one thing, fastest up a dune is totally different. Fastest no mods is one thing, fastest after a pipe (or pipes) is again totally different.

Without getting too critical I think Z400's list is pretty close for a dry lakebed / flat beach. Now, fastest up a dune on a Stock quad the big bores will kill the Cannondale. Put pipes on all bikes and now the Shee will roost everyone up that same dune.
