I think that I have narrowed my choices down to the HMF slip-on. What color do you think would look the best. Do you think that getting the yellow one would kind of over do it as far as yellow goes?

Also, I think that I'm going with the dyno-jet kit and Graydon CDI. I aready have the K&N. What do you guys think would be next, maybe a 45? I don't want to do any engine mods yet.

only go with the yellow if it is a good contrast with the yellow on the ds plastic, otherwise it would look dumb

Has anyone seen a yellow HMF yet? What contrast does it have, is it more yellow or more goldish?

I would go with a RWR cdi box so you dont have a rev limit, then buy a tach so you dont over rev... Also why dont you buy a CT racing full pipe, or a team alba pipe kit. Both give you 10 horse low end and like 2 up top ... unless you dont have lots of cash, witch I under stand...
Also have you thought about removing your air box lid and putting an outwears over your filter. (if your not riding in water).
If you do you will need stage 3 from dynojet! (if you buy dynojet from dynojet.com you get stage 1&3)

Angrybajabot has the red one and it looks real good on his baja. I also think that it would look good on a yellow DS too. I have not seen the yellow.

Your only other external mod choice is a carb or duel carb setup. Angry has the 45 and it really woke up his baja. I think that a carb will be my next purchase for my DS.

MXZX, from what I hear the $300.00+ that it cost to go to the full system isn't worth it, specially if you only have bolt ons and no engine mods. As far as the CDI goes I would feel a lot better if I had some sort of limit. I would be worried that I would over do it with the RW CDI. And as far as the tachs, they're kinda pricey. $225.00 I believe. I do plan on removing the lid as soon as I get the pipe.

DSAl, I was thinking about the red as well. Figured that it will match the graffics that come stock on the yellow ds. And as far as the 45 I think that will be next but not for a while.

Lets hear some more opinions.

i know many people that have just a slip on and it woke up the beast big time. Especially on the low end.
If you have the Baja with the higher limiter you don't need an after market one, unless maybe for hillshooting.

As far as color goes, I'm all for anything other than yellow.
