Today I saw a post that just makes me want to hit something.
A guy by the name of "MAR"
Well, here is what he said,
"The prediter well its going to be powered buy a rotax built and designed engine. Yes its true. I got family that works up in bombarider aerospace and in rec products and the 500DOCH engine for the preditor is definitly rotax. Will it be produced by them who knows"

I hope to god this is not true because if it is well, lets just say it is like putting the DS motor in to a raptor! Not Right...

Polaris needs to stop taking ideas for BOMB...

I doubt that is the case. Polaris has a domestic engine program and facility and is capable of producing their own engine. Whether it is as good as a Rotax remains to be seen.

Yup Its rotax's design. Polaris might build the motor and produce it but the engine was and is of very simular design to the 650 DOHC engine of the DS. I hear all this stuff from friends and family emploied by bombardier. They never have misled me yet.

This is not the first time polaris had dug into Rotax for help. They do it all the time on sleds. Exhaust valves, Electronic reverse, Computer moduals. It just makes sence for them to use a rotax engine. There the best built engines in the world and will allways be that way.

Belive me if polaris was using rotax motors i would not be against it. It will probably be one of polaris's best atvs.

I remember hearing something about Bomb and Polaris joining forces, or atleast sharing technology, in the sled area, maybe they are doing it for quads too? This can only be a good thing for Polaris.

not to mention they kick *** and produce a lot of power (650 quest smoked everything on the strip, including a slightly modded p650)

The only reason it smoked them was because it was geared higher. But they do make good power, the raptor is 90 lbs lighter than a DS and has 10 more cc's and it still can't stomp the DS. That means the DS motor makes mountains of torque and very good HP. Imagine the DS 90 lbs lighter !!
