Jetting Help
#1
I just recieved my jet kit and pro circuit pipe. Can anyone help me with jetting. I'm pretty new to all this and any information that may help me would be much appreciated. I read that I might want to follow the stage 3 instructions if I run with out the air lid. Is this true?

Well at sea level I would fun a 190 or a 195 depending on where the filter is. At the mountain I would run a 180 with the filter in the air box and a 185 or 190 with the filter on the carb. That should put you close make sure you check your plugs but that should put you close to start with. Are you using a K&N filter? Those #'s are for one. If you are not using one go get one. You know what they say more, in more out, more power.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I got it done this weekend. The pipe was a piece of cake to install, but those srews on the carb were a pain. I ended up jetting it at 190. Man does it got some pop now!
Going to Pismo this weekend, but I'm looking foward to my trip at Sand Mt. next month to see the difference. Thanks again for the advice.

I set the needle third from the top. I basically followed the stage 3 instructions. I did notice that my fan did kick on pretty quick running around my neighborhood. It's my understanding it could be an indication I might be running a little lean, but it was 105 degrees that day. I really won't know until I get it out this weekend at Pismo.
