HMF Pipe
#11
When I first read this post I about fell out of my chair. It is the first negative post I've seen about the HMF pipe. I don't know about the PC T-4 pipe but my HMF is good enough I don't know how there would be much difference in a slip-on. I mean it's just a hollow tube ! Seems like there wouldn't be alot of chances for a different apporoach.
My HMF is kinda loud though. But I heard 2 400EX's with PC pipes & they were louder (IMO) than my HMF on a 650cc quad. The HMF also has a 10 yr warranty on the packing. HMF makes custom pipes for drag bikes & street bikes. They gotta know something about making HP.

HMF doesn't offer a USFS approved spark arrestor. Be sure your riding areas will allow you to ride without one.
So far, I believe the Pro-Circuit to be well built (don't have a year on it yet but no signs of wear.)
If you buy direct from the factory they charge full list price. If you buy from someone like Rocky Mt. ATV you will get it at the $180-190 range. The manufacturer's do this to protect their distributors since they are putting the pictures in their catalog and pushing their product for them.
