The Big Gun comes with a spark arrestor also, but it is not installed on the pipe when it arrives. It's a simple screen that goes under the end cap. Three allen screws to install or remove it.

I've sold and installed many of these.

 

well i guess i stand corrected ill have my shop foreman make some calls some one owe's me some money. because neither the fmf or the big gun had them when we recived them. Oh well i know for a fact the graydon did not because i gave him that pipe and i purchesd it. And i went and picked it up myself. And i made a call the big gun i gave to another friend and he tells me the end cap is rivited on! So are you souposed to drill the rivets out when you want to switch to the spark screen?? well one thing is for sure. As mzx said my dual super traps are spark aresters. But hey 918 count the amount of holes that hold the cap on and pm me with that info and ill see if i have one laying around.one of my guy's seems to think a disc. set from a super trap will work on that exhaust. yes, supertrapp discs do fit on the graydon, 4".

 

Am I going to need one before I go to Flag this weekend? What if I don't have one? How can they tell if you have one or not if I can't even tell? I'm not going to start the forest on fire am I?

 

Unless you are in tall very dry weeds, and you are not moving, it would be very hard to start a fire.
The only fire i have seen from a none spark arrestor is in tall, dry weeds, not moving. I dont know how to tell if there is a spark arrestor...

 

all the forest circus people do to check to see if u have a spark arrestor is stick a stick or something down the end of your exhaust and if it goes in more than a couple inches(where your spark arrestor would be) then u dont have one. Sean

 

if the super trap disc fit then you can get a set at about any shop there only like 20 bucks and install them then you have a spark arrestor and tuneable exhaust.
And normaly id say go for it you won't start no fire but we've had a bad year.and the last thing i want to see is your mug on arizonas most wanted for being a fire bug [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

They want $70.00 for what is usualy some flemsy 2cent screen. It's a bunch of crap!
