For anyone who has a trail tech computer, do any of you ride in the winter? because i was thinking of getting one but i was worried about the digital screen cracking like on the honda 4X4's, and is there a way to mount it so that it wouldn't interfere with a tach if i put one on in the future?

The billet dash will block view of the tach, but if you just buy the computer itself it comes with a universal bar mount that can be fitted to either side of the bar clamps. Or you can mount it to the tank cover, between the gas cap and the bars, I've seen this and it look spretty good too.

I have mine mounted with the universial bar mount in such a way that it only blocks my neutral light.
Haven't gone through a winter with it yet. But then I'm in california and we don't really get the kind of winters that would cause the screen to crack. I've haven't submerged it. But it has gotten plenty wet on occation with no problems.

The Trail Tech is guranteed so if it breaks they'll send ya a brand spankin new one. I have not had mine through a winter, but I to was worried about that so I left it in my freezer for 3 days and good as new. So good luck and o by the way I mounted mine on the bars on the throttle side, I like this look and it doesn't block anythign, if you email me I could send you a pic.

I would be happy to show you some pics of mine. Here ya go

There are times while ridding when it does block my Oil/temp light. But in my normal position it's visible (barely).
The only problem that i've had with mine so far. Is when changing out my bars I pulled to hard on the sensor cable by accident and had to replace it. I think it was 24 bucks. Don't remember.

DsDude that is sweet.
Is it mounted with the universal clamp that comes with the unit or did you make a special bracket?
