Got my hose cover kit here.

http://www.jcwhitney.com/product.jht...30&BQ=jcw2

I don't have any pics yet but I'll try and get some. They have a pic of an engine with the hose kit in the link above. It looks just like it.

I also got their red wiring loom kit. I redid most of the wiring harness ( not the front part that is covered up ) but when I put all the plastics and the seat back on it covered most of it up. So I did other things like the throttle cable, brake cables, clutch cables etc. I think that it looks pretty cool. Maybe over kill but atleast it's original.

I'll try and get some pics up asap.

The only problem with the nylon kit is it will frey when you cut it. I cut it then wrapped the end with a thin peace of duct tape then put the hose clamp on over the duct tape. I was worried that it wouldn't hold up to the heat but I obviously over heated my bike this weekend and the hoses still look great.

And it's cheap to boot. I think that I paid 25+ with shipping. And I covered the oil lines with it too.

If you guys are going to wait a little bit, like til November like Hightower said, I'll go in on it too. I'm recovering from paying college tuition and I will have the money by then. Let me know. Thanx.

Why can't the stock throttle be modified to work??? It looks like the stop boss can easily be removed for more travel. Has anyone tried this? BTW, a group purchase sounds like a great idea.

Yeah, lets see what they tell taxi - thanks man!

Rockey - you may very well be right - I have a spare stock throttle that I broke the lever on, and I plan to butcher it up and see what I can do.

Well here's what he said.

" We sell Lectron's at a big discount now because you are buying them direct, but we can see what we can do if you can tell me what it is that you intend to purchase? Carbs & throttles?"

What should I tell him. I'm pretty sure that Hightower and myself are interested in the Lectron carb and the Terry Cable throttle.

Is that correct? Is that what I should tell him? HT, Rocky, Bajads650, anyone else want to join in?

Yep - carb and throttle - if there are colors to choose, I'll take black.
Good work!
