Anybody out there with a old stock DS exhaust cam out there, that they don't need anymore? If you have one you could part with I sure would appreciate it.

Al, didn't you have to send yours in for the core to get your RWR cams?

I have a bunch of them here.

What happened to your exhaust cam?

You never let me know, did the studs and nuts work out for you?

Yeah, sorry Don I didn't get back to you it turned out of course that it was only the nuts that were bad, but the local dealer actually had some for it, Go figure! But he only had three so I salvaged one, and used it. I appreciate your helping me out. As for the camshaft I am a little embarrased to tell the world what I did. But sooner or later you will all find out anyway. I didn't pay close enough attention when I was torqueing the Cam gear down and the pin wasn't lined up correctly and it snapped the flange in half. So I had to buy another cam but they are killing me with the core charge though and I just wondered if anyone would be willing to help me out? The other cams have to go back to Gary at TVI. And talk about wacked out clearance on the cams. Intake is at .010in and exhaust at .001in that is pretty damn extreme! So now I have to go to a Suzuki dealer tommorow and find the correct shims for this thing. Let me tell all of you who are planning to build your motor, Plan out your time and all contingencies before you begin! This was only suppose to be a 1 day job and it has turned into 5 days already! I should finally have it out and runnig at Gorman tommorow and I will give you the update then. I hope somebody has some shims for this thing around here or I am really going to be ANGRY!!! Thanks guy's.

get rid of that remaining head nut as soon as possible, it probably wont hold the torque for long. the nuts are your standard material flange nuts that can be found at any hardware store, but only use them once. as far as shims go you should have a BMW motorcycle dealer close

A Kawasaki dealer will have the correct shims as well. They were used on their street bikes. 29MM

Dude, did you get one yet? I still have mine but I can't tell the difference between the two so you can have them both if you still need them. E-mail me, not PM, please.
