Slip-On Questions
#1
I want to replace my stock Baja muffler with a slip-on. I'm seriously considering the HMF, but I'm open to anything. I need one with a spark arrester and it must be relatively quiet. Any suggestions? Thanks for your input!

That sounds great. Did you have to re-jet? Where did you notice the power improvement...low...mid..or top? Is it significantly lighter than the stock muffler? Can you re-pack it easily? Thanks again!

With the pipe and a k&n filter I did rejet. There is alot of good info about jetting on Buttfungus's website, just search for "DS jetting/mods data". The pipe is about 1/3 the weight of the stock pipe. Repacking looks to be very easy, there are three allen head screws on each end to slip the cover off the core. You can feel a power difference right away through out the power band, especially after the K&N and some rejetting. And the looks of the pipe are sweet.

Also the pipe on the FMF is stainless so after a couple of rides it turns that golden color and matches the stock header pipe.
