Airplane fuel in a ds is it possible?

My dad used to be a manager at an airport, so he often ran av gas when he needed it. All it is is a higher octane, somewhere around 105. It will run faster and better, but will eventually cause your engine to seize up. you get carbon build up and it will ruin your engine. I know lots of you guys who run it a lot won't believe me, just trying to warn ahead of time.

Thanks if this 105 octane will sieze your engine what about that sunnoco 110 octane stuff that I hear about would that hurt my engine at all. I want to try higher octane gas to see if i should convert to alky.

hey bom i don't know everything but i can tell you no race fuel will compare to alcahol i tried every thing and no petro based fuel compared to alcahol and with your 12.5-1 comp.yours will run like a raped ape on alcahol.but the main thing to remember is alcahol can damage a engine twice as fast as gas so you have to weigh the cost.

AV gas is made for the airplane not for the bike. AV gas got more chemical addictive then race gas, also it made for the airplane that run on steady RPM. Does your bike run steady RPM like the airplane? NOT!!
Yes I know it cheaper but you will pay the price when the motor seized up.
Just stay away from the AV gas if I were you.
Is your bike bone stock of the piston then just run 93 octane or find somebody that sell 100 octane like Union 76 and it will perk up for you. It is unleaded.

the alc will run cooler and you can build more hp but you realy have to have a built motor to take full advantage.
As for av gas where do you guy get you info? Do you honestly think I would fly a few thousand feet up with a fule that would harm my motor? Get real all gas starts the same the only adative in av gas is a blue dye so you can tell you have the correct thing in the tank it also makes water more vissable.

The infor I got it came from Dirtwheel about 2 yrs ago that I read it and have been told by several peoples who are into engine building. AVgas have more addictive then reg gas by far. I am just going by the infor I got. I just giving a friendly advise.

This post just might have some of the worst and best advice I have ever seen. I figure the guy that runs JP4 must have about 22 to 1 compresion
(must be in the wrong forum,I could be wrong but I think Polaris has the only diesel quad) one reality is BTU's it is a real and measurable quantity, even though higher octane burns slower it does not make the flame front colder. slower burn time is for more thump less pre-ignition. colder plug, more thump, hotter flame front. Lead is a lubricant and not only lubricates but increases octane (another measurable quantity only used for gaso) toluene concentrate is now blended with light ref to manufacture high octane "no lead" gasolines. So, if you got the thump avgas will work as good as any high octane race gas. As far as additives we manufactured 100 LL until about 1995 without any additives, the only aviation fuel additives we used were in jet fuel otherwise known as K2 Kerosene (JP 4 is K2 with heavy ref to lower the flash point and pour point #) "NO REALLY"
