I have an '03 Baja. I was trail riding over the week-end and was really in need of more bottom end. It seemed dead below about 4500 rpm. Is a slip-on and rejetting enough or is full exhaust the way to go? I don't need any more top end that seems great. The suspension is like a couch on wheels, I love it!!!!!!

The first biggest improvement and the cheapest is to replace the front sprocket with a 15 tooth, you will notice a huge difference right there. Next go with the pipe and jetting and especially the K & N carb mount filter. Trust me the sprocket is the biggest improvement in the bottom end!

you might also change the rear to 43 it works great, that is what put on mine. i put a 15 on my wifes and she is able to chase me down, but it takes a long time, and seldom do we have a run long enough for her to catch me. the front comes up a lot easier to. i think the clutch springs might need to be replaced though. but the good news is the $25 woods springs work for that.

I have a 15 tooth sprocket because I sometimes run 22" Spider Tracs, but I don't really notice a difference with the stock tires. It's better but not that much different. Will a slip-on exhaust be good enough or is a full system heads above the slip-on. I don't race so I don't want it to be too loud for the neighbors.

I would recommend for low end probably do a slip on or mosdded end cap. the full pipes will fow more but shift the power more to mid range and top but also keep your quad running much cooler. Although my RWR pipe will throw the quad streight in the air no problem.....trust me it the full pipe is the way to go if your going to do more mods as well. get a disk type system if sound is a concern.
