headlight???

Hey everyone My last head light burnt out so i got a new one and put it in. I prolly got no more then 8 hours on it. I didn't take it the bulb out yet but is this a known problem with the DS???? and if it is how can i fix it? thanks

if you touch the glass part of the bulb they will burn out fast. out of the two i have and the three i ride with i'm the only one that has lost a headlight bulb, and that was from water getting into the light it self. car wash thing!!

This subject comes up from time to time on here.
It could be your voltage regulator putting out too much voltage at high RPMs.
Put a voltmeter on the battery leads and check the voltage at different RPMS check it with the lights on and off. If its over 14.5 volts (15volts max) your voltage regulator is the problem and you will need to replace it.
