Where exactly it kermit located?im in Paris,Texas.i mean i dont need exact directions from here i mean what is a big city its by???

Kermit is in west Texas, northwest of Odessa.

kermit is about 50 miles east of pecos, TX, just type in kermit under the "map" link on the yahoo.com site and it will show you were in TX it is. Those dunes are worth any drive you make they are sweet. I make it up there at least once a month, Best in TX. make the trip.

PS. i forgot to say.. your probably not looking for Kermit specificaly, you want the dunes, and maybe a hotel, right? anyway you get on highway 115 to get to kermit (youll see on map) pass through kermit on the same road (hghway115) and continue north out of town, it is about 10 miles , at about 8 miles everything turns to sand and youll get excited, but further up the road on the left will be a designated area with covered picnic tables etc. and a parking area, you cant miss it, there is always people out there. As for the motel, there is a nice one in kermit, once your at the last gas station on the way out of town towards the dunes take the road the gas station is on about a mile, past a high school, and it comes out on another strip of that little town with resteraunts and a nice hotel (kermit Inn), it took me many trips to find that little part of the town. It seems nice, but it is a LOOOONG drive for us. Kermit isn't too far from the Texas/New Mexico border. About an 8 hour drive for us.

 

It's a 6 1/2 hour drive for us but well worth the trip! Great place to ride!

 

yea well its about an 8 hour drive for me also..but little sahara isnt much closer than that if your not running 80 the whole way LOL..but thanks guys oh is there like places were you could hook up a camper or anything????

nope, there is pretty much nothing once you get out to the dunes. just a parking lot some trash cans and a few picnic areas
