Default Modified End-cap Vs. New Pipe

Has anyone dyno tested the difference of a modified end cap with a 2-½ inch pipe vs. a new slip on pipe? I have a modified end-cap, Uni foam filter with 185 jet everything else is stock. I was wondering if anyone else out there with a similar set-up has done the testing to see how much a difference there is between the 2 set-ups. And how much was gained vs. a stock bike?

Default Modified End-cap Vs. New Pipe

I ran a 2 1/2 inch modified endcap for a long time and NEVER got beat by a Slip-on. And the power was as good in the trails also. I have preached about Modified endcaps ,and still say that they are every bit as good as a slip-on. I do beleive that a FULL exhaust system could be an advantage over a slip-on or a modified endcap, but only if the Motor is modified internally.

The only advantage a slip-on will have on a Endcap will be weight. For some people, that alone is worth the cost of a Slip-on.

P.S. I currently run a 3" modified endcap.

I beleive there is slight advantage with a slip on vs a modified end cap. I don''t have any dyno tests to back it up , but if you look at the design of the slip on, they have less turns and are a more straight thru design. This would probably only be a marginal difference and most of teh gains would be after peak hp is achieved. With that being said, I am debating buying the Trinity exhaust and then dyno testing my combo.

Also I have Dyno tested my quad , and the modified endcap didn't do much for "peak" HP, but of-course it made a big difference in the low and mid-range.

I also ran the 300ft. drags with both a "stock" and Modified exhaust and the times were Identical. But in the trails, the modified endcap was hands down the best choice.
