If you have a dremel cut the heads off the screws. Easy outs are a type of reverse drill bits. You drill a hold into the screw a size smaller than the easy out then insdert it and run it in reverse.

Whats the easy-out for???
Once the heads are off, remove the bowl (which will now just fall off) there is a 1/4" of the the screws sticking up and they come out with your fingers.
If the slot thing doesn't work just drill the screw heads off, its alot safer then cutting them off with a dremmel tool. The float bowl is really thin and you don't get many close calls before desaster strikes.
Use a ~3/16 drill bit and start drilling right in the center of the cross. Drill straight and check often to be sure you stay in the center and straight. Keep drilling until the head pops off. Repeat on the other three. It really is that easy and takes about 2 minutes each.
