sandaholic, do u you find that it uses too much power or creates too much heat? i was also thinkin about gettin the baja lights for christmas, but i thought i'd try the high wattage bulb first, i think i'll go with the 55/100watt blue tint, i can get it much easier than the superwhite, and duney you can get them at Dennis Kirk, Kimpex etc.

So far I have had no problems with the high output lights. I am cautious though, I only use the low beams when I am just putting around, If you leave the high beams on I would think the heat build up and over draw on the power system would not be a good thing. When you are crusing at a good speed the air flow over the headlight aids in the heat dispersion, also the stator will be putting out max watts at over 3000rpm + or around that.

the purpose of the tinting is to keep from blinding oncomers as bad - the blue xenon and gold tints don't glare in the eyes near as much as the normal bright whites.
I like the 55/100 so I can run the factory watt low beam around camp, then hit 100w high beam out in the dunes.
