whats this mein and needle stuff i hear everyone talking about. i got a stock bike that needs to be tweeked a bit, is this something i could do ?(im no mechanic)

 

look at the dial-a-jet set-up. it's in the forum sounds like the best way to rejet on the fly? i just ordered one for my ds,should make things much easier to adjust.

 

JEFFROE....please post after you install and have had time to evaluate it, like install problems, performance ect...I wonder if you added a pipe if you could just install the dial-a-jet instead of new main jet?

 

what they have you do is to go 2-3 main jet sizes down, install the kit and this then will give you what you started with. now you have 4-5 jet sizes to range thru by adjusting the dial to the best tune. good for tuning after pipe install or any other mods. i will be ice racing this winter with temps from -15 to 40 above. this will give me alot of choices instead of spending all my time taking apart my carbs. yes i will post after install.
