I know this is a cheesy question
ok...I know this sounds stupid and petty....but does (or did) anyone elses headlight on their Baja point WAY up in the air ? I'm not kidding when I say that when riding at night, I can check the tree tops for snipers. I looked at all the mounting bolts....everything looks tight and correct. Maybe I'll shim the top two bolts so that it points more towards the ground.

the headlight bolts on in three spots, 2 bolts on the top, and one at the bottom of the light, the bottom mount has a nut on each side allowing you to adjust it, so you should adjust the nut closer 2 the motor first turning it clockwise(if looking at the machine from the front) and then do the same to the nut on the otherside of the mount, this should bring the beam down,

It sounds like your headlight bulb may be installed backwards, check for that possibility as well. Something just out of adjustment shouldn't be THAT far off, however if it was in upside down (I installed mine this way when I was replacing the bulb on my 2001 with a brighter one) I think it might just be that.
