Upgrade 2000 DS 650 to 2001 Longer Oil Filter

Why you ask? Because I can get the 2001 filters from Rocky Mountain ATV for 2/3 what the dealer charges for the 2000.

Has anyone done this upgrade?

If I just buy a new oil filter cover, will that accomodate the longer filter?

I've done it.

Yes, all you need is the longer cover.
