Need help deciding between the 2, and would like to know the pros and cons. I have no contacts down where I live so I am on my own so any help is greatly appreciated, would like to be completed by spring break if possible (mid march). So if anyone can point me in the general direction of how to get starrted I will appreciate it

Just to be a little more specific I think that methanol is a form of Alky, I think.

Ward, you are right I just didn't phrase that right. Methanol is a form of alcohol, most people who use it just refer to it as alky. When you call it meth people seem to think your quad is on some drugs lol

 

and when you call it alky, they think its a drunk, they are one in the same, ron wood sell a kit, but it doesnt work to well, but he supplies the needle, set, and ever thing you need, but you'll probably need to drill out the jets to get it to work

 

Methanol and ethanol , are both alcohol....one you can drink ( ethanol ) the other makes you go blind. The way I like to look at it is Gas is for cleaning parts , Alcohol is for drinking , and Nitromethane is for making power....hey what can I say.....just don't drink and drive

 

Is NITRO better than ALKY. What does it do to the engine (pros cons) and performance(pros cons). Does it burn just as fast or faster than ALKY or pump gas?

 

Nitro by far makes much more power than anything else , but its very hard on the engine and washes down the oil . Plus the cost of it is very high . it should only be used for drags.
