I second buttfungus' report. I own a few if you look at my mods. Edges are great for turning and shredding hills. Not too bad for drag racing. But if you plan on doing drags I sugguest the straight paddle extreme edges for ultimate hook up. 20x10x10 eight paddle edges will work fine for a stockish bike for carving. But if your going with the straights and plan on modding your bike 22x11x10 10 paddles will fit with the stock heel gaurds assuming your suspension is adjusted for sag.

I 3rd that!
Nothing beats the FUN of a vee for play riding, shredding, carving, and sliding. I totally agree with buttfungus' order of prefered vees. I've owned others as well, such as Sharks and Trakkers, and they can't even compare to Skates or Edges.
No vee can compare to the striaght line traction of a hauler or extreme hauler. 8 paddles for a stock motor is great, 9 is cool for bolt on mods providing you're geared accordingly. I have ten paddle haulers - 20x10x10 - and they're a bit much so I had to drop the gearing.
He who owns both is a happy man indeed!
Sand is great on a DS - you can get up on the tank with you face about to kiss the bumper, rev to 8,000rpm in 2nd gear, and dump the clutch! talk about a holeshot - this is guarenteed to make people take serious notice! (Better have some heavy duty clutch springs though).

I was warned by two seporate people when I bought my extremes to trim the ears (that stick out farthest to the side) off my heel guards but I forgot to do it.
I am 180 lbs and my suspension is set up properly but when I went a little too fast through a g-out both my tires grabbed the heel guards and ripped them away from the fenders and bent them down below the tires. I was able to bend them back and salvage the weekend but I learned a lesson. If you trim the ears off you will be fine with 22" extremes.

I run the 22" haulers now. And when it's time i was going to go with the extremes. I think i'll just trim them now and be done with it. I haven't had any problems yet(about 8 monts). But the extrems are suposed to be a taller blade correct?

I was warned by several people that they would rub. But I needed a better tire for traction. So I decided to get the 22's extremes and was preppared to cut my heel gaurds. But after putting them on and riding for months with no problems Im convinced that the 22's dont rub. I'm a large rider 300+ lbs and they dont rub.
