The 23" tires give you more ground clearance.

Some people also believed that it helped their twitcy steering problem. However I think that issue was handled in the 03 models. I corrected mine with a-arms (I needed any way, bent my stock ones) and proper toe out. Since my a-arms are chrome i like the 23" tires for clearence

I also think it has something to do with the "contact patch" of the tire. A larger diameter should give you more tire on the ground than a tire with a smaller diamter.

they roll over obstacles better too.
As far as looks go, I like the proportions of 20"rear/22"front or 22"rear/23"front.

if you go to 22" rears, it will decrease caster angle in the front, but 23" fronts will help counteract it and leave caster fairly uneffected.

Puttin 23's on my machine greatly helped with the steering problem. I wish I bought them before a got the stabilizer.

They work great and roll real easy. The downside is that my turning radius has nearly doubled.

I'll trade that any day for good steering

Does changing to 23" tyres on the front still allow the use of front mud guards

Not a problem at all. I've never seen the lugs on Razrs, Holeshots, or any other 23"tire rub on the fenders. Even the AMS Whiptails that are a true 23 inches don't rub.

Thanks both.

I am running lug tyres like razr so this is greet. As it will give me better ground clearance.

Would you change the sprocket. Or should I give it a go on the 23" first
