Decked head
#3
I'll be able to let ya know in a couple weeks. Parts should be in by next week ( 11.5:1 piston, RWR sport cams, valve springs, TVI stay bolts, mild port job & decked head). Work is being done by a local engine builder (Bonz Eye Racing in Waynesburg, PA). Owner tells me to expect a nice fat midrange punch with gobs of torque (stock carb) for woods riding. I'll get before & after readings, I'm excited to see myself! Now where did those pesky little Raptor's go? Here Rappy Rappy Rappy......

the thinner gasket would be easier for people to try. in case it didn't work. when you shave the head it is wasted. it can only be used for what you have at the time. the piston is very close to head in the fron and back. it is almost in possible to keep them .030 apart. the closer the piston is to the head the more heat it will produce. with out coating the piston and combustion chamber after a run or 2 it will start denotaing.
i have back down from compression and just got the motor to rev high and have a good staight HP curve. compression is hard on a motor, the life will be alot shorter and will run hot.
