I finally got all my parts, followed my break-in procedure, and today I went for a snow ride...1st off I did not get the race head, or duel carbs, so it is pretty much base level 760, except for cams..It has a real smooth power band. from what I can tell anyway, there is a lot of snow here, so I could not get much traction, I was going back and forth between riding the raptor( basically stock) and the ds, I can really tell the difference between the two, once the ds got going it was fast. I tried to run it down the road to see what it would do, but the cops caught me, so I had to go home..But so far I really do like it. I hope to get a better report later, until then I will have fun riding on the snow![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

2nd time in the last week, good thing it was a different cop..I better stay off the road for a while. The cop did wonder why I had a smile on my face, I told him I just got my motor back after a year and he let me go....

 

I am a happy camper now, all I have to do now is work on this trouble maker thing....

Of course, whether or not I make it depends on the guy doing my portwork, but if I get it back when I hope then I'll be back together and go through my "break-in" next week.

I think I am the only one in LaPorte With a DS ...so I wouldn't be hard to find...plus that thing is so loud They can hear where I am going...It is strange, I used to ride on the road all the time, no problems I have a buddy that lives 2 miles down my road, been there several times on the quad....I think the cops in LaPorte have a thing for quad riders now.
