Default Does your DS650 pull?

My 2000 DS650 pulls to the right. Even before I rolled it and bent the right upper a-arm a 1/2" back, it pulled to the right. Before the roll, I set the alignment and the tire pressure. Is this normal for the DS?

I like to think that my right front suspension works better because it has more castor now. Now if I could only plow another big rock with the left side, I'll save hundreds of dollars over new upper a-arms. (joke)

I have a similar problem, when I push the throttle mine pulls very hard forward or wherever it is pointed. Sometimes when I'm not paying attention I will end up in the pickers or somewhere off the trail in the woods because of this problem. Haa haa. ya mine seems to pull, but maybe thats bcuz instead having a few inches of tire touchin the ground, i have over a foot of plastic, and you guys complain about twitchyness with tires, thats nothin compared to skis

Check your tire pressures! Most likely the rear tires may have different pressures, causing a bad pull on any vehicle with an axle like that of a quad. Because of the extreme width of the DS, it's more noticable on it than other quads, and a slight difference will show itself more severely. All but one customer complaint I had about "pulling" was due to this. The one that wasn't, was due to the swing arm coming apart at the pivot, causing the swing arm to be at a slight angle.

dude, DEANB, i hope your not riding around at high speeds with that front end all out of whack, at least wear a helmet man! Im going to be recieving my ASR a-arms this week, if your in need of a right upper, maybe i could hook ya up.

Thanks, but no thanks. I'm not willing to spend any money on the stock old style a-arms. Maybe I would consider the stock new style, if I was ever convinced that they fixed the caster. My options are just ride as is; I did reset the toe. This is most likely what I will do. Or buy ASR uppers. Somewhat cheap at $199, but still not getting what I really want, "wider". I love width, and honestly I have not heard of any aftermarket a-arms that are wider than what I want. But than again I want independent rear suspension too and I know I will never get that.

BTW, I always wear full gear. Sadly, I don't think my quad handles any worse now at 70mph than it did before I put on my 23" front tires.

Does it pull hard to one side when you are doing a wheelie?

I couldn't tell you, me nor my quad are big on wheelies. It could be my worn, stock rear tires or my big hairy spare tire above my belt. You choose.
