What kind of RPMS should I expect?

Default What kind of RPMS should I expect?

Ok, I just put on my new RW CDI, I started and and reved it to 8200. WOW it really reved fast!.
Here are my mods

FMF power core 4 pipe
TM42 Carb
Open Air box
K&N
RW CDI

What is a good shift point now? what should be MY max rpms???

With stock cams and springs, your peek hp is still well below 8K so there really isn't mcuh need to rev past it. I never reved past 8500, because there just wasn't anything there.

best thing to do is go and have it dynoed if you can, your best shift points will be at max torque, not hp

torque is what gets you moving and gives that seat of the pants feeling
