Default 22" tires with stock gearing ... faster or slower

I recently added 22's and my DS feels super slow off the line ... is this my imagination?

Also I raced a guy with 22's prior to my 22's and I smoked him bad.

What gearing do I need to go with for the 22's to keep the initial acceleration?

What is the advantage of the 22's anyway ... I only have them because of a bargain that I got on ebay.

thanks for your help in advance!

traction, more of a foot print. i run 15-43 with my 22' but that is in the sand. try a different front sprocket. when you went to 22" you geared up thus getting a higher top speed, but it will be harder for the engine to get there as quick. the smaller tires allowed the engine to rev quicker thus the faster acceloration. i don't know the right gear combo to get back to stock, some guys like the 14 front also

15-43 or 15-42

with the 22" tires you will lose on top end but have plenty bottom, this gearing will correct this

Alright someone is out to lunch, If you increase you tire diameter, mathematics would prove the top speed would increase, Need to recalulate Fourwheelphreek? This is all dependant on if you can still turn the same rpm.

The 14 front sproket will be much harder on the chain, stay with the 15 up front & consider a 41 or 42 rear.

put a 14 front on with the stock 40 rear and you'll be all set.
