Default Radiator Shrouds

With warmer weather approaching I was thinking about keeping my Baja cool. It does not run hot but cooler is always better. Do radiator shrouds really help? Obviously you have to be moving for them to help. I noticed 2 types of shrouds being made carbon fiber and aluminum. I can't justify $130+ for carbon fiber, yeah it looks good but it could be made of plastic and work just as well. The aluminum fits the price budget better at $60+ but I am worried about how it will handle the abuse of rocks and other trail debris. With the Baja lights I understand that some minor custom work will have to be done. Any experience with the shrouds? Best place to buy them? CT-racing, Alba??

i run them, sand dunes only, i cant say they REALLY do much for cooling, so dont spend your money in high hopes in that area, BUT they look really sweet and cover up the ugly side view of the radiator, they are worth every penny in that aspect.

$49 for shrouds sounds good to me. I assume the are not carbon fiber for that amount! On graydon's web page they only show shrouds for the trx250r and they are $180.

SANDMAN430 do you have a picture or some more info on the shrouds from graydon?

Thanks
