piston bore questions...
I was wondering what you guys are doing to the cyl when swapping the stk piston/rings for aftermarket piston and rings(stk bore). I've built many a motor(small to large V-8, stk to heavily modified, N/A to supercharged) and cyl honing is very critical to getting the rings to seat properly, especially on motors running boost. I am not familliar with nikasil coated cyl's. Do these not require honing? If they DO, with what?
I bought a used JE piston/rings(stk bore) and was wondering what i needed to do to install...?

Cylinder is honed. Shouldn't need to do anything to it to put the high compression piston in it. Most people use the stock rings since they have been warn in against the Nik'd cylinder.
You will probably find this a very easy change-out. Be sure the rings are not parallel wiht the exhaust / intake or at a 90 to them either. I think you want them 120 degrees apart (check owners manual.)
