When my ds was stock it ran justa s good with the stock endcap,then it did with a slip-on(on top). the bottom power was much broader and it was easier to ride the trails with. However the stock end cap will perform as well as ANY slip-on/modded endcap out thier (peak hp). So it doesn't surprise me that the "stock" ds could beat you. you need to go in a half-a turn on your fuel/air screw, the probably go down to 185 on the mainjet. Your size creats wind resistance and will rob you of topend, so gear down 15/16 tooth and take advantage of your RWR revlimiter. And don't forget to make yourself as small as possible (in the tall gears)so the wind doesnt slow you down.

when I took ny carb apart it already had a 45 pilot, bomb support said they sometimes sub the 45 when they don't have any 40's, they said they difference between the two is minimal, I'm not sure if their answer is correct, because my mid range tork is brutal.....I think I need to do more bench press's, can't hardly hold a beer after a full day of riding....LOL
