ok what would you all recomend with this setup at sealevel, fmf slip-on, 45mm w/ direct mnt k&n, rwr cdi.

I also bought the carb as a custom/harly carb off ebay so its not a rwr carb cause his is like 400$ what will i need to change it over and where and what do i ask for when i go get jets?where can i get the softer return spring local shop or only rwr? my local shop told me the tm45 is crap cause he cant tune the bottom end in is it hard to get it tuned correctly and will it help if i get the accelerator pump activated?

geeze thats allot of q's but i hope you guys can help thanks, vic

the tm45 is fine if you ride the coast put in a 160 main jet and a 45 or 47.5 pilot not sure about the needle but seems it was on the third and like a 1 1/4 turns out on the air screw, i don't think you will notice any bottom end problems mine works fine and like you all i heard was the bottom end is crap well there isn't enough of a problem to bother me and i like to whellie a lot and most of mine are on the low end and it works fine. that jetting worked fine at the coast and it works here in bend also so that is about 4000ft.

sandman430, are you running a 160 with a direct mount filter or the airbox?

jetsnow yes it is a k&n on the carb, and i i think it works good i thought i would see more of a bang from the 45mm than i did but i also think i was being easy on it at first, as our sand started to dry my quad was getting faster and faster. i have my wifes to compare to and hers is why faster than other ds's that we have come across. not to mention banshee she loves racing those the jets are large rounds. seems most bike shops have them there like $3.25 here in bend. if you you need more help call the guys at cascade yamaha/ skidoo they helped set-up my 45mm, had them look at the 42 on mine and said it was fine, so they seem to do really well but they do a lot of jetting with the snowmoblies. ask for mark 541388-8727
