it is our little secert the mags say they are slow, so we buy and get that big suprise, that is why you see so many there easy to make a few changes and get to run better also, they suprise a lot of people, and they say i didn't know they run like that.

The latest open class review by Dirtwheels says the very same thing. In stock form the DS took every speed trophy. Even in the rolling acceleration tests. In the last issue of ATV rider (I think that is the name), all the small riders hated the DS but it, again won all the speed tests. They even timed and clocked up comp at Dumont. It's hard to make a radar gun lie, and it's hard to fool a stop watch.
Complain all you want (raptor riders). The proof is in the puddin'
In fact, I believe that I beat a couple of piped raptors this last weekend. Even with my Big A$$.

Yes mine did about 85 with stock gearing and 22 inch tires on the back but now I switched back to small tires so I have to gear up. It has PLENTY of torque to pull much higher gearing than that too. When they won the baja 1000 the way they had it geared it was topping out at 106MPH. Mind you it was stock with a pipe.
