If my cam chain is overly loose? will it have enough slack to lock the motor up? Cause i can hear something popping the cylinder wall on the left side? and it appears to be the cam chain. And when i am just sitting in neutral i can rev it and it just dies as if you tried to take off in 5 gear!?? PLEASE HELP!!!!

 

a loose cam chain will do a lot of damage. check the auto ajuster to make sure its working. the staling sounds like your jeting. whats up with the h-bomb intake do you have a pic?

pull the tank and valve cover and that will expose the chain and you should be able to see if you have slack. woods makes anew manual tensioner. there like 40

has anyone used the manual tensioner form woods, how do you set it, i have one but i havnt put it on yet, due to i dont know how to use it, im sure i can figure it out, but any help would be use full

the one from woods is the way to go if you hate to ever miss a ride. if that stock one ever goes you are done, that one you roll back to camp and adjust and off you go.
