well since i have read a lot of these threads, i thought i would share my view now that we have the 400ex. well i went to the jetty hill and it handled the whoops just not as smooth as the ds, well it felt neat until the hill got steep then the lack of power was there. well i went to the line against some other hondas and that was fun, it was the rider more than the machines, it was really enjoyable. after the ds it seemed small but ok. we did a few jumps and i guess i just didn't feel the great comfort that people talk about because, it didn't seem to launch like the ds. well i have always thought that it just takes longer to learn the 4-stroke power delivery and the suspension of the ds, and after that trip how one of those mags choose the honda over the ds for the dunes kills me. i wonder if they have a drug testing policy there.
