I didn't mean to bash on mr.woods but I will admit I was upset when my dealer couldn't figure out my problem and then I search the web trying to find someone who is familiar with rotax, and sells all these aftermarket parts and then get told I don't know how! Sorry I will leave this one go but I do think it is best to know all aspects of an engine before selling custom accessories for it. I will keep my opinion to myself
Sorry

Barbwire44,

Your opinions are WELCOME!!!

Just because some of us didn't agree with you, doesn't mean that their is a SHORTAGE of good customer service. I was alittle shocked to hear that those guys didn't know how to tell you the oil bleeding proceedure, but It makes since why they wouldn't. We sometime take for granted that these biulders should know EVERYTHING, but they are human like the rest of us, I guess. He he he.

Anyway, Thats what so good about this place! You will rarely have a question that these guys cant help out with, so PLEASE keep your opinions coming, and we will offer ours. I bet we will agree, alot more than dissagree in the future.

Examples: Rappy's are Slow!!!!!! Agree???? See, that was easy.

The thing I like about RWR is they treat you good. It does not matter if you call him for a stage 2 kit or just a main jet, they will take the time to help you with your problems.

Ok well I am glad that is over, I hate to post early on a forum and start out negatively, I just opened my mouth before I did any research, I really didn't want to bash the man I really thought it was funny! As for the DS, I do love the machine it is everything I expected and more, I got on my wifes 300ex and now it felt like a little toy.
But if I can have youre opinions on something?
It's the age old question you see on every forum but I will try and make it a little more specific.
What pipe would be youre #1 choice for a stock motor, That I don't intend on building until the warranty is up and at that time I will look for a different pipe, I just want a slip on that I can rejet stick a uni filter on and get the most bang for the buck without being over 100db? I am looking for torque more than top end....(woods riding).

The BEST bang BANG BANG!! for the buck is a Moddified end cap!! They work Great, and yo can make your own for about 30 bucks, Or you can get an FMF, or MBRP slip-on and they have NICE power, without getting to loud.

I have one of the first RWR Stage 1 kits on my 2000DS. It runs great and has never missed a beat.

The service from RWR is awsome.

I think the best bang for the buck is the Stage 1 kit. If your worried about the db level then run the supertrap and tune it accordingly.

As for the oil change issue, that's just funny!!! One of the local dealers here still can't work on a DS properly.

I watched one of the mechanics use a torque wrench for a hammer to bend over a 1/16" cottery key. I saw another dealer mechanic dip a K&N filter in a bucket of oil, put a foam wrap on it and install it.

So I guess all mechanics have their way of doing or not doing things correctly.

Welcome to the forum....

Bigger, as far as AZ goes we'll see this weekend, I think that I've got him scared though. Although all he has to do is pull out his 760 and it's game over. He only got me by about a 1\2 bike before and I'm much faster now.

We definately need to hang out more, can't wait either. Yeah you beat me far and square, but I thing I may have you now.
