Racing/ideas??

Just to give ya guys an update! I've been racing with WORCS for the past month and half. I'm not inpressed with there tracks, the first race that I did with them was in Lake havasu,az it was a short new track that wasn't thought out too well to start with. Then it rain for two day's which made worse because the surface of the track was new so now we had 6inch of pudding needless to say I didnt do too well will a carb mounted filter and a 45mm carb, first thing to go was the filter and then the carb do to mud gumming up the works!!
I was told by a fellow racer later on that raced in the pro class that the atvs were the red head step children that worcs used to smooth out the track for the pros that race right after us, (I'm talking woops the size of your quad and as deep!!!)
So I thought I'll go to the Price,UT race its spose to be wide open country racing cool I mit Get out of SECOND!! The day before my race it snowed like 6 inchs, I thought cool I like snow. It was a cold morning everything was frozen! BUT they plowed the course the night before and now it was fozen S#$@!!! I'm sit there it's colder than s@$$ and the guy next to me said "did ya know that cut the course down to 3 miles" WTF it was 9miles to start out with!!!! So now I'm racing on a frozen soon to be mud motocross track for hour and 15mins with a ds650 that was geared for wide open country!!! I Didn't do good!! Thats it I'm not racing with them again!!
I'm now in the works of setting my ds650 for racing with the Colorado Hill Climbing Assn. This style of racing is like rally racing which I think the ds650 will do alot better. My First race is may 10-11 in Canon city, CO I Need some advice on how to set up my new top a-arms for hoosier tires. I.E. (caster, and Camber) for dirt/gravel road switch backs? I'm looking at using a 20inch tire in rear and 18.5 in th front. I talked to RWR and he told me to go up one tooth on front so I have top end but i can also use first gear. Have any of you guys ever used a sway bar? I have a durablue coming also if ya ideas on how stiff to set it thanks!
I have a pretty good built motor I'm think close to 70 hp at the wheels. I will be racing nothing but 450 stroked banshees. Kinda the underdog but I think I can give at least half of them run for there money. I'll be able to get close to 90mph on the straights but I think that because there two strokes and they have to keep there rpms I can get them in the switch backs.
If this year goes good I'm looking at racing pikes peak spring 2004. Any Go fast ideas would be great thanks!!

Well, I started with a 102 semi flat top piston 13 to 1 from pami, It goes above the deck of the cylinder.. Then I got the pami cylinder and a tvi race head. from there we toke and match the piston to the head by milling it so that piston head wouldn't hit! the flat top piston is mainly the secret it promots swirling effect and has no dead spots where the flame front will not reach ==== better burn! the head has 40mm intake and 35 exhuast ported and matched dual springs titaium retainers etc. stage 3 cam. the intake is ported to match and a new 45mm carb with pump.. I also have tvi's clutch springs. the exhuast is mbrp full race exhuast 1 1/2 headers into 2 inch which barely fits!!! in front of the engine. this exhuast was the second one in the USA because the first one was at the dealers convenstion and I payed to have it earlier that there release date. I use a RWR ign. I run this thing on 114 trick LEADED racing fuel to keep combustion temps down, and I use Amsoil 4-stroke synthic oils. And one other thing that help is make sure that you smooth out all the sharp edges on the piston, head, valves, etc so it will flow around the edges better and there be no hot spots.
Do anybody have any sudgestion about using hoosier tires and what caster and camber I should start out at with a 18.5 inch tire???

northjeepster when are you coming back to florence? i'd like to see that thing run, i heard you were doing great without paddles last time you were there. i'd let you use a set of my paddles. there are a couple of raptors that would like to see a 687 ds there in the 686-690 range, they seem to think that since the ds is heavy it must be slow. well i'm still working on azsand i think he may come up for sandfest, when they see that monster run they will probably fall over from shock. i don't think most raptor riders know any thing about a 760

Sorry to hear the WORCS race was not working out for you. I was hoping to see A Bomb in action at the Washougal race on the 17/18.
I had checked out some pictures of the AZ race and it looked really muddy.
Did you have a shop help you with the engine work or did you do it all?
I am completing stage 1 and I am going to go to stage 2 when I get some $$$. First I have to get some new A-arms and get better clutch springs.
Just wondering if you have a shop that you recommend in the area.

I'll be racing in the worcs race at Washougal it will be my first time. I ride with Brandon Brown sometimes and he just won the worcs race in Utah. I can race right with him when I had less mods than I do now so I should do quite well. My problem in the last few races has been flats due to the crappy stock wheels now I have beadlocks and should do much better.
