i am looking for a battery for a ds650 that is cheaper then 80.00 bucks for the sock one. i checked auto zone and walmart but they did not carry one for the ds. i know the ds battery is 13 volt and walmart said they carryed a 12 volt. would that be o.k.? where should i look and get it the fastest?

I would get the yusa battery if I was you. It's pricy. But will last longer. Where did you here 13 volt? the DS uses a 12 volt battery.

 

I know I am not in the correct forum but I was being nosey, I think someone is pulling your chain about it being 13 volt. I believe if you check a battery with a meter you will most likely get a dif voltage #. Depending on how good the meter is. Most likely its a 12 volt. jmo

 

i got the voltage from a dealer that is next to me, but they are not good. i will look at the 12volts they have at walmart. thanks for the help.

 

nobody knows of a cross-over battery that they would sell at pep boys, kragen, auto zone. there has to be one. just like the oil filters can be used from an auto. the quad shops mark this stuff up to much. where at the auto shops its a dime a dozen. come on guys, he's just trying to sell the ds so lets help him save to sell.

 

I just bought a battery at Advanced Auto. It wasn't the exact size but it works just fine.

 

I'm pretty sure that champion sells a battery to fit the ds.

 

There isn't any 13 volt batterys. They are actually 12v batteries. Technicaly, a 12v battery will read 12.8v at a full charge.

 

DSDUNECRAZY is right, a good 12volt battery should test over 12 volts sometimes as high as 13.9 volts.
