2004 ds650 question.
#5
Dry weight on a 2003 is 490lbs -516lbs wet, which is the dry weight of a 700 V-Force.
2004 the target weight is to be 430lbs dry.
Biggest change is a 1/2 shorter swingarm made of aluminum which changes the weight bias front to rear and should make the front end lighter under hard acceleration and break the rear end loose for slides. Lofting the front end of obsticals should be much easier.
Lighter headlight cowl, and more aluminum.
Rev limiter has been increased also from 7500 to 7800. Maybe new jetting and shocks also.
No reverse.

i'd love to have reverse, then i wouldn't be so picky about the weight, the only time i really care about the weight is wen i have to push it backwards or wen i get stuck, i could get unstuck alot easier wit reverse
