k&n vs uni-any opinions?

Gaskett was working on a short adapter to go between the carb. & filter that should move the filter just enough to allow for a much better fit than direct mount. The tube wouldn't be long enough to make any performance change. He also designed it for use with the stock Carb. and it has an adaptor for the clear tube so you don't loose the reference vacuume for the stock carb. It sounds like a nice easy way to move the filter out of the way of the seat allowing you to use either Uni or K&N as your taste desires.
There is one REALLY simple answer to all filter cleaning woes; get a couple of filters, get them ready, store them in plastic bags and the minute you need a new one, swap filters & keep on riding!

I've been kinda busy, so I havn't got the revised edition to the initial proto-type finished. The revised version will have an offset in it to compensate for the seat interference. The proto-type barely rubs the seat on my quad, but then again I spent a lot of time making mine fit just right.
Buttfungus has used the proto-type version and he said he has seen some improvement (ask him for the specifics, would rather have him brag about it than me).
I have also been using the proto-type. I works real well for me. I'm still playing with some jetting and needle positions. But so far, it pulls all the way to the limiter.. and it pulls HARD!!. Throttle response is right there, especially in the mid-range.
