How much lighting can I run?
#1
All right, will I be ok if I run a 100/55watt main bulb with 2, 55/watt side light bulbs? That would put me at 210 Watts. does anyone know how much draw is on the Stator prior to turning on your lights?
Also how about the Piaa bulbs? They say 55/60 Watts = 100/110Watts? I don't know If I get it.

So what did you end up doing? IF I get a DS I plan on getting a couple of really good handlebar mounted lights... I'm having a hard time making heads or tails of that thread, so in plain simple terms, what is the max wattage I could have (for safe long term use) using two new lights?

I have one of those helmet lights and it works sweet. Nice bright spot pf light wherever I point my head. uses a rca jack mounted to my handlebars. The light gives you an extra second before you make a turn to see whats ahead.

Yeah, but I'm not concerned about lighting for the woods or anything like that, I just need LOTS of candlepower, and the broader the area the better as well.

i just went to hidstore.com and purchased a hid light kit for $200, 35 watt bulb and only 3.4 amp draw, with this setup youd be able to run the extra dual 35's or 50's

Hey Tony...I run a 80/100 super white main light and 2- 55w floods. And I haven't had any problems and all. I do try to remember to turn the floods off when Im at idle though. I have them hooked up so they come on when I switch to high beam.
