Default Jetting Question Lean or Rich

My bike seems to backfire when I let off the throttle when I'm really on it and I seem to have lost a little low end power. But my spark plugs look nice and tan I was told it's probably the air screws that need to be adjusted. Do you think I'm running rich or lean and is it the air screws. Thanx

Mine did the same thing for a long time, turned out to be my big gun exaust had burned away the metal gaskets on the header section. As soon as I put new ones in my backfiring went away. Guess cold air was leaking in before.
