Alright this isn't about our Bombardiers but I need some help quick, alright I have a 1978 Jeep CJ-7 with a 394 V8 anyways, there was about 2.5 or 3 gallons of kerosene put in the tank on accident and i need t knwo if i will be alright if i fill it all the way up with gas or if i need to drain it all cuz I am in a big rush and it would not be easy to drain the tank

 

syphon as much of it out as U can then fill it full...you should be ok

 

You should be able to fill it up with a full tank of 93 octane. Do not do this if it's fuel injected. My brother did the same thing with a old wagoner.

 

Well what will be caused by running kerosene in a straight gas motor?

So there will be no internal damage, because for some rteason I recall kerosene burns super hot and can melt pistons[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

How much gas is in it and how much kerosene is in it?

 

The tank is 11 gallons and i put approximately 3 gallons of kerosene and i can fill it up all the way with gas so about 8:3

 

I'm no expert but it should be ok. Don't know about the hotter temp thing.

 

Kero is not as hot a diesel... with that kind of mix wont be enough in to matter...I haul gas and diesel..we worry more about getting to much gas in diesel than the other way around...if U can syphon some out it might make U feel better..
