Default Tires wont come off!!!!

I was trying to take the stock Ohtsu tires off of my Baja's front rims and no matter what i tried they just wont break. I even brought them to my local bike shop and they couldnt get the bead to break either. Has anyone else had this problem, and what should i do. I really dont want to have to cut the tire off cause I want to use it on another bike. So tell me the secret

If you are desperate and and already tried a tire separator then drive your car or truck over them. put it on something soft like a thick cardoard and run over the tire part. but maybe somebody has better advise my advise is probably last resort

Yes i know exactly what you mean, I had the same problem on the rear with the stock ohtsu's on my Baja the only way i got them of was to cut the tire of and them attack the wire rim lock with a 4 inch angle grinder, believe me i tried everything else but to no avail.

The rim has like an internal lip which the tyre sits over when it is locked onto the rim.

Good Luck

Xray

Default Tires wont come off!!!!

Ok, when I first got my paddles, they weren't lined up straight across, so I had to break the bead on one of them to line them up. So after about 3 hrs of trying to break the bead, we decided to lay them on a friends driveway and let them sit in the sun to get warmed up. It was our last hope, and it finally worked!!

So.. I don't know if it is hot and sunny yet where you live, but try heating them up b4 you try and break the bead, it might just work.

If you are putting the tires in the sun you should have both of them in equal time because they might actually stretch. Thats what we do to get greater stagger between left and right tires in race cars.
