Default Need Help

We recently bought a 2005 Kazuma KMX-50 and can not get it started. We have changed the battery and added gas but it does not start. It did not come with any manuals, se we are at a loss on what else to try. Could someone please give us some ideas? This is suppose to be a Christmas present from my son.

Did you check any cut off switches, fuel shut off valves. Does it turn over?

As stated above, start with the simple things to establish a base line, are all the kill switches in the on position? Pull the spark plug out, connect it to the plug wire and ground the base of the plug to the block - crank over the engine - do you see any spark? Sometimes the fuel valves are funny to tell what is on and what is off - pull the line off the carb and turn on the fuel valve - any fuel comming out? In previous posts some people have had to adjust the valves but not until they have ruled out the above. Let us know how you make out.
