Kazuma Baby Falcon 110
#1
Anyone here have any experience with the Baby Falcon 110?My daughter will soon be 8 and I'm planning on a new quad for her birthday. She has outgrown her 50 so I'm looking to step up to a quad she can grow into and ride for some time.I considered the falcon 90 but according to the specs it's only a couple of inches taller than the kazuma 50.It seems as though the baby falcon is in line with most 80 and 90cc quads as far as size.Has anyone had any problems with these and what are some likes and dislikes?I was looking for a 4 stroke with gears(her 50 is a 2 stroke auto)and I like the fact that this one has reverse.Any help and/or opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Brian

i purchased a falcon 110 for my 8 year old daughter, the size is good, and it has a semi auto trans. three forward speeds and 1 reverse. the engine runs flawlessly. there are some differences in the falcon & the baby falcon, the baby is a little smaller, maybe some other subtle differences. the bike of course can be speed regulated at the throttle. i like the 3 speed semi, because my daughter can ride in first gear and cant get up to much speed. as she grows and gets more comfortable with her rideing skills, she can start shifting to higher gears, and we can let the throttle limiter out gradually.

Like Happydad, our experience with the 110 has been generally very good. Last Easter I bought a 50 for my 5 year old as well as the 110. My daughter just turned 9 and the size of the 110 should give her several years of use. I think you will like the transmission. In the beginning I had her just drive in in 2nd and eventually she was shifting like a pro. Actually I prefer to ride this ATV over my wife's 150.

I bought one for my 9 y.o. daughter to go with her 7 y.o. sister's sunl70. I put it together friday evening and they rode all weekend. The baby falcon or sfx I think is a little shorter than the standard falcon. She's not to small for it and it's really not overly small for an adult.
The only problem I have is that the reverse indicator does not light tho it works for neutral and and the forward gears (will have to call John to see how to fix this later). It does not have a tail light. The headlights are not nearly as bright as the one on the 70.
So far, it runs perfectly.
Theres a fair amount of discussion here: http://forums.atvconnection.com/mess...TARTPAGE/1.cfm
including my initial impressions. Also, doing a search of the raceway and kids quads forums should yield a fair amount of info.
The falcon 90 is small. In fact, it's very little, if any larger than the sunl (or xl) 50/70/90. If there are hills, the gears will come in handy. The shifter is heal/toe. The pattern is RN123, via heal shifting. Toe shifting lowers the gears. This is the opposite of what I would have expected, but most children will have nothing to compare it to.

I bought one for my 8-year old son for Christmas and he loves it. We went to the ATV park and had a blast with it. Speed/size is perfect for the age. I'll post some pictures later on. You should see the the amount of mud he got on himself.

Thanks everyone, this is exactly what I was looking for.
cdavilajr, definately post up some pics so I can get an idea of the size etc. Most of the pics of these are sitting in a showroom, and never with a rider,so this would help me determine the correct size for my daughter. Also what type of trails were at the atv park and how did it do?This is also a concern for me.We take her out with us and her 50 just has all kinds of trouble on the trails, finally decided it was better suited for the open field riding etc.She got real frustrated out in the woods,so I want to make sure she enjoys herself so she won't get tired of riding.
Thanks again and keep it coming,
Brian

The baby 110 has one a-arm on each side (the smaller sunl 50/70/90 has two, btw). I dont know how much difference this makes.
I bought both of my girl's atvs at raceway, but some other sites have better pics. There is a good picture with what appears to be a 9 to 11 y.o. girl at http://www.highrpmracer.com/babyfalcon.html . There is also a good review here: http://www.atvriders.com/atvproductr...atvreview.html

I don't have enough experience to comment about the stiffness of the ride. All I can say is that my son is having a blast with it. We have the adding father/son activity where he loves to help maintain/lube the cycle. I personnally think its just fine for our purposes.
