Which Kazuma model??
#1
Hey,
I'm looking to purchase 2 mid-sized quads for my two sons (age 8, 10...their tall but skinny) I've been looking a lot and narrowed it down to the Kazuma/Redcat brand. I'm looking in the 110cc- 150cc range. I'm especially concerned about not getting them something too small that the'll outgrow in 6 months.
The main question I have is: In the 110cc range it seems that Kazuma/Redcat have several different models in this range.
-Redcat VX-110
-Kazuma Falcon 110 Deluxe
-Redcat?? 110SX
-Redcat?? 110FX
-Kazuma?? V-110
It's hard to make sense out of so many different model names. Is there a short answer for what the difference is between these models? They all seem to basically have the same stuff with minor differences. Again, I want to lean towards the one with the biggest frame (height?). Also, I've read a few reviews that seemed to indicate that having a disc brake on the rear is a little better than drum brakes on both front/rear, is that the case? Anyway, any info anyone could provide would be great! Thanks in advance...

Welcome to the forum. First the Redcat and the Kazuma are the same bikes, both made by stanic motors I believe. The Kazuma Deluxe has dual a-arms and disc brakes, as opposed to the regular 110 with drum brakes and sigle a-arms. Redcats are the same you'll just need to look up the model numbers on redcatmotors.com. I prefer the disc brakes as well, I've had bad experiences with drum brakes. Best of luck to you.

I think for younger kids these chinese quads are alright but the older kids are going to push them to the limit. I have two 200cc redcats a dpx and vx model ( two kids daughter 10 and son 12 ).My boy pushes them harder than there designed for. I'm looking for a used honda 250ex already.
