Has anyone has trouble with the starter on the Yamoto 200 or Redcat DPX200'? I have the same engine and starter on my Komoto that those use and the starter has now binded on me twice now. This time it wont even turn its locked up. Just curious if this is a common problem and if it is what do I need to do to correct it. The way the starter fits into the engine there is really no way to shim it if that is the problem. Any advice would be helpful.

 

I just had the same problem on a 200cc Flywing ATV I just bought. The exact same motor you have. I started it up and let it run for a little while and then turned it off. Went back a few minutes later and it just makes a clicking sound from the starter silinoid. I touched the starter and it was hot a hell. My new starter will be here tomorrow. I hope this isn't going to be an ongoing problem.
