Please Help! I have had my Gy200 for a couple of weeks. Wondering what a safe rpm is to ride at when traveling on the road for 10 miles or so. Don't want to stress out the motor or transmission. The book says break in rpm should not exceed 6500. Is it safe to rev higher rpms on longer trips. Wanting to go 55, will go 45 at 6500

I think the reason you aren't getting an answer is that there really is no definitive answer to your question. It's really a judgement call. The question is, do you want to risk exceeding the recommended break in specs? Will it be ok? Probably. But folks are gonna be hesitant to recommend it.

Good luck

I just need some break in specs and rpm advice. My manual says not past 6500 during breakin. I can do that, anything else? The guide doesn't say much else or it does but it doesn't make sense..........something like this........use the throttler throughout the cycle for break in. Change oil in the oiler using the oil in (say what). There is no section about max rpms or anything else except for break in

One of the biggest complaints with the gy is that it is geared too low and revs too high at higher speeds. Most have changed teh rear sprocket to get higher speeds and lower rpm's in the higher gears.
