Dingo 150 Water worthy?
#1
I tried this over in the Kids Qauds area and no response. Thought I'd try it here.
Can this quad be made capable of forging a little water/mud? I know the electrical connections need to be sealed. Will the transmittion suck up water and cause a problem? Is there a danger of cracking the motor (Head or cylinder)? Any other issues?
Anyone?
Bill, Your my Dingo Guru...any thoughts?

just my opino m104, it depends on how deep of water and mud you're talking about, 6-12 inches shouldn't be a problem, one of our 150 dingo's was subject to mud and water riding for a week without problem, the only thing make sure all the wiring connectors are completely sealed with liquid electrical tape paying special attention to where the wires go into the back of the connectors, also seal where the connector with the cdi unit, you're also want to keep the stock airbox on, it keeps most of the water and mud off the airfilter, i woundn't ride it in any deeper water than up to the foot pegs. plus expect water and mud to get into the brakes , which could cause troubles later on, if it does stop running with no spark it's probably the handlebar switch getting wet.
